Initial Assessment
Initial assessments are carried out at Pitter Patter Clinic. Home and school/nursery visits can also be arranged if this is required.
Assessment of your child’s communication skills will be carried out through play and informal or formal assessment. A full detailed report will be provided at no additional cost. This will include specific strategies and advice to support your child based on the assessment findings. Liaison with school/nursery and any other relevant agencies is also included as part of the initial assessment fee.
Assessments can explore early language, speech sounds, understanding and use of language, attention and listening, social communication and stammering. Read more about support for toddlers and late talkers, speech sound difficulties and children who stammer.
