Hello, my name is Laura Coverley and I am the principal speech therapist and owner of Talking Toolbox North West. I graduated from the University of Manchester in 2016 (BSc Hons) and worked in the NHS for seven years before setting up Talking Toolbox alongside my NHS role in 2021. In addition to my NHS work, I now also work out of Pitter Patter Clinic, Windle, St Helens which opened in April 2023.
I have a special interest and passion for supporting children and young people who stammer up to the age of 16. I have completed the following training courses with the Michael Palin Centre for stammering, an internationally recognised centre of excellence:

I am a member of the Association of Speech and Language Therapists in Private Practice (ASLTIP) and the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT). I am registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the Information Commissioners Office (ICO). I have a full enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check (DBS).

When I am not practicing speech therapy you will find me hiking in the great outdoors and spending quality time with my family.
