Paediatric Speech and Language Therapy Across the North West

Talking Toolbox is based at Pitter Patter Clinic in Windle, St Helens. Clinic appointments take place in this child-friendly setting, while home or school and nursery visits can also be arranged where appropriate. Our PACT programme is delivered online.

Merseyside

Our clinic is in St Helens, and we welcome enquiries from Liverpool, Knowsley, Sefton, Southport, Crosby and Wirral.

Greater Manchester

See information for Manchester, Bolton and Wigan. We also hear from Salford, Trafford, Stockport, Bury, Rochdale, Oldham and Tameside.

Lancashire

Our Preston area page includes nearby communities such as Fulwood, Penwortham, Leyland and Bamber Bridge. Education-setting support currently also reaches Chorley. Enquiries from Blackburn, Blackpool, Lancaster, Ormskirk and West Lancashire are welcome.

Cheshire and Halton

See our page for Warrington. Talking Toolbox currently supports education settings in Warrington, Widnes and Runcorn, and we also welcome enquiries from Chester, Crewe, Macclesfield and surrounding Cheshire communities.

Cumbria and the wider North West

Families farther from our St Helens clinic, including those in Kendal, Carlisle, Barrow-in-Furness and elsewhere in Cumbria, can contact us to discuss whether a clinic appointment, online PACT or another appropriate option is available. We will be clear when distance or the type of support means another local service would be more suitable.

Home and education visits

Home, school and nursery visits can be arranged where required, subject to clinical need, location and therapist availability.

Online PACT

Paediatric Autism Communication Therapy is delivered online as a parent-mediated programme for suitable families.
