Laura Warren

Hi! I’m Laura Warren, one of the Speech and Language Therapists at Talking Toolbox. I specialise in delivering Paediatric Autism Communication Therapy (PACT), an evidence-based intervention for children with social communication needs. Ever since discovering the impact that speech and language therapy can have on children with communication differences, I have been passionate about empowering families to support their children in finding their voice and achieving their true potential. After a career break to raise my own family, I pursued my dream of studying speech and language therapy at Manchester Metropolitan University. Once qualified, I worked for over a decade with the NHS, specialising in children’s speech and language therapy. The rewards of collaborating with families and helping children communicate inspired me to move into independent practice.
As a private speech and language therapist, I have become increasingly aware of the demand for specialist social communication support. In early 2024, I completed the Level 2 Qualification in Paediatric Autism Communication Therapy (PACT). I am also developing my understanding of Gestalt Language Processing to support a ‘Total Communication’ approach.
At home, my family is very important to me. I love spending time outdoors, watching films on the big screen, enjoying good food, and being creative!
